The World of 2019

The above image is a visual collage of ideas generated by the Ten-Year Forecast team at the Institute for the Future, a not-for-profit think tank based in Palo Alto, California. The team created the world’s first massively multiplayer forecasting game, called Superstruct, to engage real people as future forecasters. The game lasted six weeks before ending on November 17, 2008.

I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to futurist ideas and this is a veritable treasure trove of wild concepts. I’ll dig deeper into all the goodness in upcoming posts, but if you can’t wait check out the archived Superstruct site for yourself.

BIG THANKS to Dominic Basulto at Endless Innovation for the initial post!
